BHC expands in Southeast Asia with two new Thailand stores
South Korea’s BHC Inc. is continuing its expansion in the Southeast Asian market by opening its third and fourth stores in Thailand. The fried chicken chain announced it opened its Victory Monument and Central Rama 2 locations in Bangkok on Tuesday.
The third store, located in the bustling business district of Victory Monument, is a delivery-only outlet that aims to tap the country’s fast-growing food delivery market. BHC has signed an exclusive contract with Thailand’s leading delivery platform and is undertaking extensive promotional activities to boost its presence.
The fourth store, situated in the large shopping mall Central Rama 2 in Bangkok’s Bang Khun Thian district, offers a more diverse dining experience. The 166-square-meter restaurant serves BHC’s signature dishes as well as special menu items made from unique chicken parts. It also caters to the high interest in Korean cuisine among local customers and the area’s many foreign tourists by including a variety of Korean dishes, such as tteokbokki and kimchi fried rice, on the menu.
BHC’s international presence now includes 17 stores across the United States, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Thailand.
